Hand and foot references are provided as visual guides for animation creation and are useful in tracking motion or needing to restrict motion of either the hand or foot. To rez a hand or foot reference at the Mannequin's current location click the corresponding button on the HUD.
The following images demonstrate the Mannequin pulling itself up on a chin-up bar. In this frame the Mannequin is positioned with hands grasping the bar.
Mannequin hand and foot guides are rezzed, the Mannequin is moved upward and hand and foot guides remain stationary.
In this image the Mannequin's hands are adjusted back to their original position by adjusting the joints on the arms. A second foot reference is rezzed to visualize change in movement of the Mannequin.
The Mannequin is moved further upward using the foot guide to determine the offset for the next frame in order to keep the animation fluid. Once again align the Mannequin's hand to the hand guide. Once the animation is saved, uploaded and played in SL the Avatar's hands will remain in place.
