ANIMATION (PLAYER) >> UPLOADING
Please note these instructions were written for use with SL viewer 2. Third party viewers may appear different. Once a BVH file has been saved on your computer it may be uploaded to SL (the main difference between uploading a pose and an animation are the settings for In(%) and Out(%)). In SL select Build>>Upload>>Animation(L$10) then select the file to upload.
A window will open allowing parameters to be set for the animation.
1) Set the priority level for the animation. Most default animations in SL have a priority level of 2 or lower. Higher priorities override lower priorities (highest priority being 4; lowest priority being 0). If two animations of the same priority are played the last animation will be displayed.
2) If an animation is to play through once and end then leave Loop unchecked. Check Loop for the animation to play according to the In(%) and Out(%) values.
3) Set In(%) and Out(%) as follows:
|
|
-If the animation is to play through once and end, leave these two settings as is and leave Loop unchecked.
-If it is a looped animation set the In(%) to the value listed on the download page and the Out(%) to 100.0.
-If the animation is to play through once then stop on the last frame, set In(%) and Out(%) to 100.0 and check the Loop box.
|
4) Select desired Hand Pose.
5) Select desired Expression.
6) Preview animation with SL animation such as standing, walking, sitting, or flying.
7) Set Ease In (sec) to the amount of time for the Avatar to ease into the animation from current animation.
8) Set Ease Out (sec) to the amount of time for the Avatar to ease out of the animation when it ends.
9) Click the play button to preview the animation, if desired.
10) Click Upload (L$10).
